Chrome extension for Slack
Slack drafts in your voice.
The original stays unread.
MentionDraft writes a short reply that sounds like you in that channel, and shows it in a Chrome side panel — not in the thread. Rephrase without signing in, or Continue with Slack once for auto-drafts from new messages in the open pane. You review it; you send it. We never post unattended.
Chrome Web Store listing coming soon · 20 drafts / month free · No workspace admin required
Drafts are AI suggestions and can be wrong — you review and send. AI disclaimer
How it works
Two paths to a reply you control.
Open Slack web
Keep a conversation visible in Chrome. No workspace bot, no admin approval needed.
Get a draft
Rephrase or dictate text you typed, or Continue with Slack so new human messages auto-draft in the side panel. The Slack badge stays unread.
You review and send
Edit if you want, then Paste or Send — you still confirm in Slack. MentionDraft never posts unattended.
Built for people who live in Slack
Mentions pile up. Pasting threads into ChatGPT loses the notification. Slack AI is generic. MentionDraft is the missing piece: a draft that sounds like you, delivered aside — not in the thread.
- Rephrase or dictate a reply without Slack login
- Drafts match your tone in that specific channel
- Works inside Slack web — no extra app to open
- Badge stays unread until you choose to respond
- No unattended send, no bots posting in your name
- No workspace admin approval required
Hey, can you review the PR I just pushed? It's blocking the deploy.

What MentionDraft never does
Trust is the product. These are hard rules, not settings.
Never posts unattended
Paste or Send from the side panel — you still confirm in Slack. We never send on our own.
Never posts to the source channel as you
Drafts stay in the side panel — we do not drop replies into the thread for you.
Never marks messages read
Slack's unread badge stays yours to control.
Never trains on your data
Messages are used to generate the draft, then discarded from our servers. We do not train models on your Slack content.
