Terms of Use
These terms govern use of MentionDraft (Chrome extension and website at mentiondraft.talakraft.com). If you do not agree, uninstall the extension and stop using the service.
The service
MentionDraft drafts short Slack replies in your voice and delivers them to you in the Chrome side panel. You remain responsible for reviewing and sending any message. MentionDraft does not send on your behalf and does not mark source conversations read. The Chrome extension works on Slack web (app.slack.com) only — not the Slack desktop app.
Plans and payment
Each Slack user may generate 20 drafts per calendar month at no charge, or subscribe:
- Starter — 100 drafts / month. List price €9 / $9 per month. New subscribers pay €4 / $4 for their first three months, then the list price.
- Plus — 500 drafts / month at €19 / $19.
- Pro — 2,000 drafts / month at €49 / $49.
Europe is charged in euro; other countries in US dollars. Polar Software Inc. is the merchant of record and authorized reseller: Polar collects payment details and issues invoices and VAT/sales tax. MentionDraft provides the product; Polar sells the subscription. Polar's checkout buyer terms apply to payment. Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel in the Polar customer portal (linked as "Manage billing" in the Chrome side panel). After cancellation you keep the paid limit until the end of the current period, then return to the free 20-draft limit. Unused drafts do not roll over.
Eligibility and Slack
The Chrome extension only needs your Slack sign-in — it does not install a workspace bot and does not require workspace admin approval. You must comply with Slack's terms, including the Slack API Terms of Service. MentionDraft is a third-party product, not a Slack product.
Your content
You retain rights to your Slack messages. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide drafts, as described in the Privacy Policy. Generated drafts are yours to copy, edit, or discard.
Acceptable use
- Do not use MentionDraft to harass, impersonate others, or violate law.
- Do not attempt to access another user's drafts or to probe, scrape, or overload the service.
- Do not use MentionDraft as an unattended bot that posts into channels.
AI outputs
Drafts are generated by a language model and may be inaccurate or inappropriate. See the AI disclaimer. You must review before sending.
Availability
The service is provided as an early-access product. We may change, suspend, or shut it down. We do not promise uptime or support SLAs beyond responding to email within two business days when we can.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is." We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, MentionDraft and Talakraft are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for messages you send after using a draft. Our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous three months (or €0 if you have not paid).
Termination
You may stop at any time by uninstalling the Chrome extension. How stored data is deleted is described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
